Field Trial Results..

A week with super nice results in Field Trials.

Day after the Danish Field Trial Championship .. Thomas has entered our Young bitch Broadlaw Ebony in her first Winnerclass (Open) and she got Diploma of Merrit.
Thomas was very satisfied with the day and he especially felt that Ebony managed to keep calm during the whole day. Even though it was driven birds.. 350 ps.

Friday the halfbrother of Ebony, our Broadlaw Dirk was entered in a novice Field trial.
He was ment to be in a trial in October, but got a nasty cut in a paw. And therefore he had to wate for a new chance in trial.

Broadlaw Dirk got a 1 pricei n the Novice and is now qualified to enter Open (Winner) class in Field Trials.

Thomas can now sit back a bit and enjoy Christmas and the picking up days in the snow:-)

Hillus Powel won the Danish Field Trial Championship

Hillus Powel won the Danish Field Trial Championship 2012.

Saturday and Sunday where the danish Retriever Field Trial Championship held on the Brahetrolleborg Estate on Fuenen. 29 dogs where qualified for the two days championship.
Saturday where a great day, cold with some snow, but sun was shining and the birds really where on the wings.
Sunday morning presentet a snowstorm. Lots of heavy wind and snow, but a walk up and a small drive was possible anyway, and we could end the second day.

Thomas and Hillus Powell did a great job. Picked evrything and made it seem simple and nice.

We decided before the championship to put Hillus Powell to our young bitch, and this plan is now for sure.

Breeder of Hillus Powell is Mr. Steel (junior) in Scotland, and we can only say that we are very pleased with both Hillu Powell and Hillus Holland.

Mr. Billy Steel is also the breeder of Broadlaw Ebony - our youngest bitch, ( 2years old)
Ebony where startet ind Winnerclass /Open Trial for the first time today. She got a com, and Thomas was very pleased with her.

We are planning to mate Hillus Powel and Boadlaw Ebony next time she comes into season.

Kates pups are now 7 weeks old.. and they are lovely.   Full of speed and curiosity. They are all ower the place.
Everyday we are walking in the garden with their mother and our old bitch, Maggie and all 7 pups loves that part of the day.

Today our Vetenarian nurse came and completed the "Puppytest" and she found all pups in super shape! All of them seems to have the rigth skills to become

Next Monday some of the pups are leaving us to go to their new homes. 5 pups will stay in Denmark and 1 is going to Sweden/Scwitzerland.

1 dog pup is not sold. Give us a call if You could be interested in him.

Batmoors` Spot On Holly

In 2012 we mated our bitch Altiquin Breeze to FTCH Adoraden Quinn (Spot) We had a litter of 7 pups. They are now 16 months old. 3 of them has been x-rayed. A hips and 0-0 elbows!

We kept a bitch from the litter ourselves; Batmoors´ Spot on Holly. W have an agreement with a friend, that the bitch lives at his places - as his dog, but we can breed from her.
Lovely dark yellow bitch, lovely nose work and fast and stylish - and A hips, 0-0 elbows.

Broadlaw Dirk

Broadlaw Dirk our beautifull young dog has been used for stud twice.. The owner of the last bitch sendt us these lovely pictures.

Today the 5 pups of Broadlaw Dirk and Hillus Holland went for another drive, this time to the vetenarian to get their their healthchecks.. and since 3 of the pups is leaving Denmark, passports needed to be made as well..

The Vetenarian thougth the pups looked great.... all of them super fine and healthy.

Batmoors Chasing Kate - is mated

Our bitch Batmoors´Chasing Kate has been mated with Lakedown Diawl Bach (Red).

Red lives at Kennel Meadowlark in Sweden and he is bred by Roger Phillips - Kennel Lakedown in Wales.

We have known Red and his litter brither (who also lives in Kennel Meadowlark) since they very very young and we have liked them eversince our first meeting.

Red ahvs proven his excellent skills on trials in Denmark and Sweden, and we are quite sure that this will be a "hunting" litter... both parents is keen hunting dogs and very fast and stylish.. Danish Dynamite:-))

Finland... traning

How many basic training elements is in this exercise???
Thats the question we have been putting on the first day of two - giving a training course in Finland.
Miso Sipola invited us to come and show how we do the  training with our dogs. And we have seen very nice dogs workig the grounds in Finland.
Its always interesting to meet new "dog" people.

Mido used DKJCH for stud on his bitch, and the pups are now 6 weeks old, looking very good.. Fats, curios small pups.

Now its relaxing with more dog people talk.. and a glass of Redwine..

Tomorrow we will hopefully see more great dogs.

Tomorrow we are off to Finland to give two days of training classes... We are invited bye Miso Sipola who has a litter of pups after our Hillus Powell..

We know that we will meet some of Josh` offspring (Denes Boy Dan of Tudorcourt) and some of our Hillus Holland Puppy Buyers and we are looking very much forward to visit Finland, where we have never been..

Good friends (with dogs offcourse) will stay at our palce and take good care of our dogs all the pups.

Pups in Kennel Batmoors´

A week ago Hillus Holland gave birth to a lovely litter of 5 pups sired by our young studdog, Broadlaw Dirk. 3 boys,  and 2 bitches. 1 yellow boy and the rest of the litter is black. Thats good news, because it tells us that Broadlaw Dirk gives the yellow gene on.
Both Penny and the pups are doing great.

Saturday morning Batmoors´ Leadhills Mennock (Hope) gave birth to 9 pups. It´s  Hopes first litter but she knows all about taking care of the little ones. They are look really well after and she is a lovely mum. There is 6 boys - 3 black and 3 yellow, and there are 3 bitches all black.
The litter is sired by a real star; DKBRCH Batmoors´ Gentle George Will, who has really proven himself on trials last season. He has won 2 openclass trials and needs only one more cert. to become a Field Trial champion. He came 2 at the Coupe D´Europe in French, and he was placed in two International fiels trials last season. He has also done a great job on cold game test and 3 years old he won the danish cold gamechampionship.

Broadlaw Ebony wins Workingstest

Broadlaw Ebony had her first goe at an official workingtest on Sjælland in Denmark today. Ebony was startet in the Beginners Class and got 20-20-20-18-20 points and won the class.

She is our young bitch and shows great hunting ability. She is a fast (very fast) hard going bitch and Thomas absolutely loves her.

We are now pretty sure that Hillus Penny ( FTCH Rodwallace of Leadburn- FTCH Broadlaw Eva) who is mated with our young studdog; Broadlaw Dirk, is pregnant.
She has become quite big and has started to slow down a bit.
She is due to give birth in the beginng of May.

Also our Batmoors´ Leadhills Mennock (Hope) who is mated with DKBR- Elitewinner Batmoors´ Gentle George Will, is for sure pregnant and she already very big.
She is due to give birth in the middle of May.

Hillus Howell - Workingstest champion

This April Hillus Powell got his 3 Cert. by winning a Workingtest.
3 Certificates gives Hillus Powell the title; Workingtets Champion. Hillus Powell is now a Danish Field trial Champion and a Workingtets Champion.
We are very happy about his good results and we really do hope that Hillus Powell can follow up on the nice Danish results and do a good job on The IWT and in The Skinners competition.

DKJCH Hillus Powell Placed on two International Fieldtrials

Saturday and Sunday the 21 and 22 of January the Danish Retrieverclub was hosting 2 International Fieldtrials. This time Continental Judges Heike and Ralph Klieber were invited to judge the 2 days together with our Danish judges Flemming Noehr and Karsten Andersen.

Thomas was very happy with Hillus Powell (Charlie) both days. Sunday Charlie picked a runner and he proved to be able to hold an area! Charlie was send as second dog and made a great job on that bird.

Trond from Norway was placed as 1 winner on saturday (he also won the Danish Retrieverfieldtrial championship 2011) and Anders Carlson from Sweden won Sunday. Congratulations.

Penny and I went out the first day, but Hillus Powell stayed in and did a great job both days.
Hillus Powell was place as 4 winner.

New Batmoors Blog

2008 I opened the Batmoors Newsblog in Danish and since then, I have been thinking about having a Newsblog in English aswell, since we are in that fantastic position to have lovely friends, who does´not read any danish.
